About the Event

Capt. Greg Streeter, USN, Ret., is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and served for 28 years as a Surface Warfare Officer.  He had command of USS Barry.  As a member of the Naval Order of the US he was instrumental in the creation of the Navy Memorial at Omaha Beach in Normandy.

Greg was a six-year-old boy when the attack on Pearl Harbor happened.  To this day he has vivid memories of that day and the subsequent war years, and how the war affected every part of life.

For those who did not experience these momentous years firsthand, Capt. Streeter's memories are a window into WWII.
